Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration (Finance) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1984). He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB) and a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM).
He has had a glorious banking experience in development, investment and commercial banking areas and has served some respected institutions at various times including, Kwara Board of Internal Revenue (Inspector of Taxes) (1986-1988), Kwara Investment Company (Financial Analyst)-1988, Continental Merchant Bank Ltd. 1988-1990, FBN (Merchant Bankers) Ltd (1990 to 1996), FSB International Bank Plc. (1996 to 2005).
He joined Unity Bank Plc. in 2005 where he is currently the Executive Director (IT & Operations). He was the President of the prestigious Credit Risk Managers Association of Nigeria (CRIMA) for two terms (2004-2006). A widely travelled man, he had attended courses, conferences, seminars in Nigeria and abroad. He has served in various capacities in the course of his career: including Member, National Committee on the Review of Financial Laws, Drafting and presenting to the Senate the Draft Laws of Consumer Credits for Nigeria, Chairman, National Organizing Committee to the Stakeholders Seminar on Credit Bureau Development in Nigeria.
