Kwara Football Academy (KFA) is a veritable grooming ground for footballers, particularly at the age grade level. It also offers students the chance to play football at the international level. It currently runs both the Junior Secondary School (JSS) and Senior Secondary School (SSS) education model.
The KFA which was set up by the Kwara State Government to unearth and develop youthful football talents, runs a simple model of combining football training with academic schooling for students aged 13-19 years. The Academy is one of the subsidiary companies of Harmony Holdings Ltd, the investments holding company of Kwara State Government.
In recognition of its growing stature as the number one institution that provides opportunities for potential footballers to receive a first class education whilst honing their football skills, KFA recently received General Recognition/Accreditation from the West African Examination Council (WAEC) to present candidates for the West African Senior School Certificate Education (WASSCE), with effect from May/June 2015.
With this accreditation, KFA can now present students in the Academy for WASSCE in 12 different subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
